A cafe for people living with dementia, their caregivers and the community.
Description

The Golden Wattle Cafe is a volunteer run program at the  Goodwood Community Centre, outside of Hobart, Tasmania.

Our vision is to make dementia more acceptable in the community and help address the stigma attached to it.

Golden Wattle Cafe provide guests with a safe and comfortable environment where they can socialise with others and enjoy a lovely morning tea.  We often have live music, singalongs, games and guest speakers.

Most Mondays we have live entertainment with songs that are sure to bring back pleasant memories. You are welcome to dance and sing along.

Golden Wattle Cafe is open every Monday from 10.00 am to 12noon.

Independent Cafes Joining Form

Complete this Expression of Interest form to have your dementia café considered for inclusion in our Independent Dementia Café Directory.

Please answer the questions below. All submissions are reviewed by our Café Support Team, who will contact you within seven business days.

As part of our review process, we will arrange a brief conversation with you to confirm the information provided and gain a better understanding of your café. If your application is approved, we will request your logo and a current photo of your café to create your directory listing on our website.

A stock image can be used for you if you don't have a Cafe image.
