Monday 25th October 2021 marked our 5th anniversary since our very first dementia café in Blackburn, Melbourne. See our wonderful Blackburn Café group here celebrating their 100th café Milestone in 2019! Before COVID & masks, oh such joy.

In 5 short years, we are now in 5 communities and welcomed 158 people experiencing dementia with their family carer.

It only took this first dementia café experience to know this was for us and we needed to do it again and again!

And so we did… 310 times in 5 locations! Including 175 online cafes during COVID-19 lockdowns!

Once our charity was officially registered in 2018, we were off and running, attracting fierce community organisations and equally determined philanthropic partners to keep our most vulnerable people connected to their local community!

None of this would be possible without the 20,000 plus volunteer hours donated to support every single person living with dementia and their care-partner who attend our cafés every week.
