A cafe for people living with dementia, their caregivers and the community.
Description

The Golden Wattle Cafe is a not-for-profit cafe at Goodwood Community Centre, outside of Hobart, Tasmania. Their vision is  to make dementia more acceptable in the community and help address the stigma attached to it.

 

Golden Wattle Cafe provide guests with a safe and comfortable environment where they can socialise with others and enjoy a lovely morning tea.  They often have live music, singalongs, games and guest speakers.

 

Most Mondays they have live entertainment with songs that are sure to bring back pleasant memories. You are welcome to dance and sing along.

 

Golden Wattle Cafe is open every Monday from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon

 

The Golden Wattle Cafe was established in 2020.
