Description
Supported by Health Abilities in Box Hill, the Welcome Cafe is a group designed specifically for people under 65 years old, living with dementia .
Our Occupational Therapist, Sarah facilitates the group alongside our Allied Health Assistants and volunteer who prepares morning tea and hot drinks for us each week.
It is a safe and welcome space for your people living with dementia looking for an informal and supportive setting to meet new people in a similar situation.
We share stories and memories from our past and enjoy each other’s company.
We encourage you to bring your partner or family member to support you when participating in our group.
We meet monthly from an easy to access, fun location in the Box Hill area, designed specifically for people diagnosed with younger onset dementia.
Our group is designed for families and couple to attend. We generally do not have paid support workers attend.
We look forward to welcoming you!
