The Umbrella Dementia Cafés community is deeply saddened by the passing of Grace Dimattina, who died peacefully on 12 May, surrounded by her beloved family.
Grace, alongside her husband Bob, was a founding member of the Café of Connections in Box Hill South in July 2019. Throughout the years, they became the heart of the Box Hill South ‘Connections’ community, forming lasting friendships and helping to shape a welcoming and supportive space for the many fellow members who joined our cafe support group.
Grace was known for her kindness, generosity and quiet strength. She offered unwavering support to fellow carers, always ready to listen, share and encourage.
With her warm smile and gentle presence, she reminded us that life can remain rich with connection and purpose even through the most trying days.
She will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Any tributes made in Grace’s name will directly support the current couples who attend Cafe of Connection’s dementia cafe today.
