At that initial caf\u00e9, he arrived proudly with his cherished granddaughter Carly and her newborn Ava, just three weeks old. From this first caf\u00e9 until his last in 2022, Geoff\u2019s warm presence and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone he met.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Geoff\u00a0was an incredibly important person in the foundation of Umbrella Dementia Cafes.\u00a0\u00a0He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, offering a listening ear and sharing his deep and personal understanding of dementia, born from caring for his wife who lived with Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>As a volunteer with UDC at a strategic level, Geoff generously shared his wisdom, supporting individuals living with dementia and their families. He was a natural mentor, demonstrating through his actions how to communicate with empathy and respect, setting an example for others to follow.<\/p>\n<p>Geoff\u2019s unwavering dedication, his genuine kindness and his profound impact on the Umbrella Dementia Caf\u00e9s will never be forgotten. He was a truly remarkable person, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
