See our wonderful Blackburn Caf\u00e9 group here celebrating their 100th caf\u00e9 Milestone in 2019! Before COVID &amp; masks, oh such joy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 5 short years, we are now in 5 communities and welcomed 158 people experiencing dementia with their family carer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/umbrelladementiacafes.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/The-Umbrella-Cafes.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3310 lazyload\" width=\"583\" height=\"489\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 583px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 583\/489;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It only took this first dementia caf\u00e9 experience to know this was for us and we needed to do it again and again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And so we did&#8230; 310 times in 5 locations! Including 175 online cafes during COVID-19 lockdowns!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once our charity was officially registered in 2018, we were off and running, attracting fierce community organisations and equally determined philanthropic partners to keep our most vulnerable people connected to their local community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of this would be possible without the 20,000 plus volunteer hours donated to support every single person living with dementia and their care-partner who attend our caf\u00e9s every week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If ever you wanted to support a charity who is not afraid to get vulnerable and role up their sleeves helping those most isolated, it is us!
